The Columbus Jazz Society is a non-profit organization that began in 1987, founded by two music educators and an entrepreneur/jazz DJ. Their combined experience included other Jazz Societies and successful business ventures. By the end of its first year, the CJS met monthly in the Columbus Hilton Hotel (Columbus Marriott now) and was an incorporated, tax exempt, non-profit vital arts entity in Columbus, Georgia. Today we are enjoying a post-Covid revitalization and are proud members of the Columbus Cultural Arts Alliance and Music and Entertainment Council (MEC).
